Science Reveals How to Cure Your Guy's Wandering Eye

Calling your man before his night out with the guys will make him less likely to ogle other chicks -- science says so! In a study published this month by "Evolution and Human Behavior," researchers claim lovebirds can avoid sexual temptation by acknowledging affection for their partners.

A research team at Florida State University timed how long it took 100-plus men and women to look away from an attractive face. They found that people who'd been triggered to think about their relationships before the test looked away from the hotties more quickly.

"This must be very deeply ingrained in us, because it happens so quickly, and we can't consciously control it," Gian Gonzaga, one of the study's authors, told the LA Times. " The findings show that both sexes can curb the urge to cheat by thinking about their significant others.

But even if your man doesn't get the warm fuzzies often, he can be trained to stay faithful.

In another study published in "Evolution and Human Behavior" last March, Gonzaga and UCLA researchers got participants thinking about their partners, then flashed pictures of attractive members of the opposite sex. Those imagining their mates weren't able to remember as many details about the seductive subjects. And previous research conducted at McGill University in Montreal found that when men created an internal mantra about their relationship, they were able to avoid seeking out attractive women.
